Global Education Working Group
The ACFID Global Education Working Group works to enhance the focus on and quality of global education within the Australian development and Australian education sectors. A key focus for the group over the next 12 months will be enhancing the place of global education within the new national Australian schools curriculum.

Knowledge sharing and collaboration
- Facilitating sharing of inter-agency knowledge and technical expertise
- Information sharing on education activities that could inform the sector
- Joint collaboration in initiating training, workshops, conferences and other forums that contribute to up-skilling/informing the sector
- The group will in these ways be both a resource for those working within education already, and the sector as a whole

Advocacy and Policy
- Joint collaboration on advocacy and policy will be a priority in order to enhance the place of global education within AusAID, the Australian curriculum and the policies and practices of the various state education authorities.

Advocacy and policy engagement will include concerted action on:
- Ensuring the significance of global education knowledge, skills and values in the Australian curriculum
- Ensuring the ongoing role of global education in AusAID
