Act for Peace
Act for Peace is the international aid agency of the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA), a council of 19 member churches. Act for Peace assists the most conflict and disaster-affected communities to be safe. This means empowering communities to prevent conflict, protect refugees and reduce poverty.

UNICEF Australia fundraises and advocates for the world's most vulnerable children. UNICEF is on the ground in over 150 different countries and territories to help children survive and thrive from early childhood through adolescence.
An Internship is currently available for final year students / new graduates in UNICEF Australia's International Programs Team. All UNICEF Australia internships are unpaid, and require a minimum of two days/week over three months at UNICEF Australia's offices in Sydney NSW.
The International Programs Intern will work under the direction of the International Programs Manager. This is an opportunity to gain experience with a professional team and develop relationships within one of the largest and most recognised humanitarian development
Oxfam International Youth Partnerships (OIYP)
Oxfam International Youth Partnerships is a global network of young people working with their communities to create positive, equitable and sustainable change. Oxfam contributes to the aims of OIYP by providing a Program to build the capacity of its partners to be effective facilitators of change. Oxfam works with 300 young people over a three year program focusing on building skills and knowledge, supporting action, facilitating networking and impact assessment.
International Women's Development Agency (IWDA)
IWDA is an Australian non-government organisation that supports positive change for women and their communities in developing countries. IWDA works in the Asia and Pacific regions with and through local project partners.
IWDA offers intern positions to women studying in related fields (nternational development, gender studies, media, marketing etc) at various times of the year and generally to work on a specific project or event.
Opportunity International Australia
Opportunity International Australia exists to provide opportunities for people living in poverty to transform their lives. With over 40 years' experience in microfinance and support services, Opportunity International Australia uses a business approach to solve poverty.
The Opportunity International Australia Internship Program offers internships in our Sydney office. The internship lasts approximately four and a half months and intakes are at various times of the year. Internships are voluntary positions with interns responsible for their own travel, living expenses and any visa requirements. Current opportunities are listed in the right-hand column of this page.
