Timor-Leste Working Group

The purpose of the Timor-Leste Working Group is for ACFID members to share information relating to the country situation and their programs. The group also provides advice to ACFID as required in liaising with government and other institutions and groups on matters relating to the development needs of Timor-Leste.

Statement by NGOs: Timor-Leste and Development Partners' Meeting, April 2009

Written by national and international NGOs working in Timor-Leste, and on behalf of the Timor-Leste NGO Forum, the NGOs' statement presents a consensus position on many of the most significant issues facing Timor-Leste, including justice for past crimes, rural development and aid effectiveness. It calls on the government and donors to make significant changes in these three areas.
