| | ACFID Human Rights Project ACFID’s human rights project is a 2-year (beginning in November 2008) dedicated project to enhance protection and promotion of human rights and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and increase development impact by the adoption of a human rights-based approach. Sarah Winter, ACFID's Human Rights Advisor, manages the Human Rights Project but is guided by the Human Rights Task Group (Task Group). The Task Group is comprised of a number of representatives from ACFID member agencies — currently Act for Peace - NCCA, Plan International Australia, World Vision Australia, Oxfam Australia, The Fred Hollows Foundation and Caritas Australia — and an interested non-member, Amnesty Australia. The Task Group provides advice to the ACFID Advocacy and Public Policy Committee (APPC) on the Human Rights Project and potential human rights activities. To join the Task Group, or for further information about the Human Rights Project, please contact Sarah Winter; ph: (02) 8306 3486.
