Make Poverty History campaign

Make Poverty History Campaign logo
The Make Poverty History (MPH) campaign aims to increase Australian public awareness of global poverty issues and to persuade the Australian Government to expand its commitment to global poverty reduction initiatives. ACFID played a leading role in its inception and remains an active supporter of the campaign.

The MPH campaign collaborates actively with counterpart groups in many other countries and is part of the Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) involving some 80 countries that aims to end the injustice of poverty.

The MPH campaign has helped to increase public interest in global poverty issues, particularly among young Australians. Its program of actions, including a range of community-level events, can be found on the Make Poverty History website.
